The project
For The Skin Bar, I began with a base template and transformed it into a fully customized WordPress website with a seamlessly integrated e-commerce platform. The entire setup was designed with a clear and logical structure, ensuring that the client can easily make updates or small adjustments herself whenever needed. By configuring all components in an intuitive and user-friendly way, the website empowers the client to stay flexible and in control of content and shop management.
I am not only responsible for the initial concept and launch but also remain involved as a consultant. Together with the client, we are continuously improving the website, optimizing user flows, and testing new ideas to enhance the online shop, marketing campaigns, and overall brand experience. This also includes expanding functionalities for events, courses, and special treatments, ensuring these offerings are seamlessly integrated and easy for clients to discover and book online.

For the Skinbar case, I focused on a fluid grid system, adaptive components, and touch-friendly interactions to create a consistent brand experience across all breakpoints. By combining user-centered design principles with scalable UI patterns, the result is an intuitive and visually cohesive interface that enhances both accessibility and engagement.
We continue to work closely with The Skin Bar on ongoing improvements and redesigns, using data-driven insights to guide every decision. By analyzing user behavior and performance metrics, we can refine the site’s design, content, and shop features to ensure an optimal experience for customers and a strong focus on their needs.
The collaboration between Barbara and me started in 2017. To this day, she manages my website and is always open to discussion. Barbara is very approachable and flexible, which makes working with her a real pleasure. She thinks along with me. Sometimes I have ideas that aren’t fully clear yet, but she is able to translate them visually and create exactly what I was looking for.
Our next step is to work together with a SEO specialist, update some parts of the website and improve the UX of the shop flow for our customers based on data!
